i get in my car yesterday and i was doing about 40 mph. and after i let off my car seems like it is sputtering. it doesnt do it any other time besides when i let off all my gears are changing corectly no funny noises. no ses lights any one have a clue what this might be. by the way the car is a 2000 with 49000 miles on the motor, also its a automatic

You need to do WAY WAY more describing of the car, recent maintenance, etc, or this is in no way advanced tech. My advice to you: Fluids both oil and tranny, plugs and plug wires, fuel filter and air filer if applicable ... then come back and tell us how it's running. This is the most common problem -- plug wires. Nothing beats some routine maintenance. Got any codes thrown? If so, GET THEM SCANNED. There is no way in the world we can help you if you have codes yet don't know what they are.

ok im up for a oil change... like 3500 miles since last one.. no recent maintance ever. next week im droping the trany to install the converter so i will change the fluid then. umm i changed plugs a couple of mo. ago but left the stock wires. i will go ahead and change fuel filter next weekend two. i havent thrown the ses light<--- is this what you are talking about when you ask if i have thrown codes.

Is the exhaust making slight popping noises. Is your exhaust stock. Mine pops a bit due to the lack of backpressure. I like it though. sounds like an endurence race car.
