I just bought a used '96 Firebird, and I've been reading through the tech database (great layout BTW ). I noticed my car has dual exhaust, and 4-wheel discs. So I'm thinking the car has the Y87 package due to these two observations. But are there any true ways to tell? Like is there a code on the door for the Y87 package? If so, I'm guessings its Y87... . But its dark out right now, so I can't check. So do you think I have the performance package?

either do that, or lift your car, and spin one tire, if the other one spins the same direction, then your car has LSD from the factory, which means it is a Y87.
