thanks guys for backing me, after such an ignorant comment.

yes, you'll have heat, but it will take a LONG time for it to heat up.
when I autotapped this winter, it took almost a half hour for the car to get up to 'running temp' but never got above 165. that's with a 180 stat.
i have a 25 minute drive to class every morning, and i wasn't getting real heat until i hit the exit off the highway (20 minutes)

As for taking longer to heat up, why? Both would heat up to 160* the same. 160* and 180* are both hot compared to 20* outside tempuratures. As for comparing the heating speed of a V8 and a V6, can't do that, too different. Just like saying that what happens in a 3.8 will happen in a 3.4, not true. As for the person who pointed out that that coolant isn't poured over passengers, really? Actually it would be awsome to have radiant heating in a car, maybe some day.

For MY car which is differen't than anybody elses, I think a 160* T stat would be best. Well that's my last kick to this dead horse.

When it is cold outside, and you turn the heater up all the way, do the vents blow in air that is at 160*? No.

The only problem you will run into is that you won't have much heat in winter. I had the 160 in and since I have a vert it can get cold in the car so I switched to the 180

Personal Attacks? I didn't attack you, I just pointed out that your comment was ignorant. Much the same way you called my original statement ignorant. What other comment would you be refering to? Arguing with a Moderator is pretty pointless though since you can change what I post.
