Well just yesterday i started to experience problems with my headlights. The first thing that happened was when i would close my headlights their would be a loud buzzing type sound coming from the left headlight. I thought it might be the motor but they still are working when i turn them up so i dont think it is the motor. Then today i went to turn my parking lights on and the headlights flipped up. Thats never happened before. I checked all the wires but I cant really see much. Anyone got any suggestions or experience this before?
Thanks

I had the same problem. It is really easy to fix as long as your headlights still work perfectly with the buzz sound when it closes of course. Just click on this link and this will tell you how to fix it. http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/headlightfix/index.htm
This just happend to me tonight. In addition, now the headlights pop up and down when I lock the doors. So I get two loud buzzes when I shut the car down.
The extended warranty should cover this, I'm sure.

well...ive had the same problem twice...first time it was under warranty still so i got the whole motor changed, this time i did the fix and now it grinds when you turn the lights on rather than off, im about to order some of them brass gears and fix it for good, $80/pair is a lot cheaper than buying a motor

Extended warranty covered it. Charge would have been $218 without the GMPP.
Wicked Ed - A) How many miles did yours have when it/they broke down? B) Did yours do the headlights-popping-up-and-down trick when locking and unlocking? c) Was it the left (driver's side), right side or both?
I'll have to wait a a few more years before buying the brass gears.
Dealer (SHERWOOD PONTIAC/GMC OF DELRAY BEACH, FL)tried to reap some extra profit out of me:
1. They wanted to charge me $36 to "re-program my security system" (see Chapter 2 in the owner's manual) to fix the headights popping up issue.
2. Somehow they determined my fuel injectors could use cleaning (I did not know headlight actuators were part of the fuel injection system, but what do I know).
I declined both "services." Amazingly enough, the headlights no longer pop up while locking or unlocking the car. Shazam!
I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

I thought they only did this for every car with popup lights EXCEPTthe Firebird!
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
