A guy on here is selling an aluminum driveshaft for $150. Should I scoop that one up or just get a 1 piece driveshaft, to eliminate my crappy 2 piece, 3rd gen oem driveshaft for $25? The 3rd gen one will work on my car? It's either that or save up for some 3.73's

Not all of us go for the 1/4, Ian - and a good driver can easily gain that tenth themselves. Yes, it is the little things, but considering the mods he has on his car right now, the regular steel driveshaft would be a major improvement over the risk of the two-piece he's got, and the money saved would probably be better spent on other mods.

Well, as of right now I have headers(coming in today), 3" catback, the free mods, a thermo coming in soon, whisper lid and holley filter, soon to come a LSD with probably some 3.73's, and looking at a 3" cat. I don't plan on doing much to the car performance wise after that, so would the regular ds be sufficient? I went by the mods listed in your profile, you must have upgraded since you last updated it. ;)
Reducing by 10 lbs can't reduce your quarter time by one tenth of a second. I thought the rule of thumb was 100 lbs for a tenth?
