• SES Light

Got an SES light in my car the other night (after seeing 2f2f :( ) the car was shaking from 800 rpms-2700 rpms, throttle was "surging" as best I can describe it, like it wasn't getting enough fuel. Taking it in to get it scanned today, scared as hell of what it may be, I replaced the plugs thinking that was it, but nope.

sounds like an ignition or fuel problem..

let us know the code when you get it scanned.. cant really be sure untill then..

basic problem diagnosis does not belong in advanced tech.. moving to general.

Replace the plug wires, most common fuel/ignition problem on these cars. If that's not it, check your fuel pressure. Or check the pressure first, whatever floats your boat I recommend replacing the wires tho if you have never done it. Or at least get a GOOD look at them, but then, if you have taken them off to check them, you might as well drop the 20 bux on replacing them Unless you wanna use ACCELs or MSD or some other 80/set wires.

Got a P0303 on the OBD, as I suspected misfire cylinder three. Replaced that wire, along with all plugs, runs great, got me to work today. I'm gonna go ahead and change all the wires this afternoon just to get it out of the way, plus I can feel other cylinders misfire occasionally in high RPM's, so I figuire they are about to go as well.

well crap, after replacing all plugs and wires I am still getting a P0303, misfire cylinder three. Could this mean time for new coils?
