  • SES light comes on as soon as I hit 110?

I don't know whether this is normal or not, but it happens everytime I do it. It usually stays on until about halfway thru the next day and then shuts off again. Anyone else experience this?

When my car did that once, i found out that it was a bad wire and old plugs, so i had to replace them. It might be that, although I am no Auto technician.
BTW, why were you going 110? lol

Mine does that too, when i scan it it comes up as PO300, a misfire. So after i change plugs/wires this weekend we'll see if that helps it out.

Ok for Supersix, i ask you, why do you NOT go 110 mph? Secondly, the same thing happened to me a couple days ago. The light (solid) stayed on for a few days and then cut off today. Dont know what caused it, but i was relieved that it cut off.

It's funny this topic is brought up because when I raced a guy a few months back, my SES light came on a day later and my car was running bad. Took it to the dealer and come to find out it was a fuel injector wire that came loose. I'm wondering to this day; how did it come loose? It seems like with our cars, when we run it hard or get to a high speed, our fuel and/or ignition acts up sometimes.

my car did that to once but mine is an 87. the problem i had was a code for maf sensor. but you might want to check the wire on the tps sensor.
