  • O2 SENSOR

    i searched and could not find what i needed.my car threw an p0146 code, it was an 02 sensor bank 1 sensor 3. i replaced the sensor just before the cat thinking this was sensors 3 only to find that it is still throwing the same code did i replace the right sensor.

    did you disconect you bat for an hour?

      B1S3 is the post-cat sensor. ;)

        no i did not disconect my battery, other than reseting the codes in the computer what would this do( i had the codes erased by the scaner well see if they pop back up. 98 camaro, so your saying i did change the wrong one, what is the symbol for the precat sensor(ie b1s3, b1s2)

          B1S1 is driver's side manifold, B2S1 is passenger side manifold, B1S2 is pre-cat, B1S3 is post-cat.

            Oh ok, disconecting the bat just resets the computer. But if you used a scanner to clear it its the same thing. Some people forget to reset thats all.
