car cut off on e-way!

Today on my way to work my camaro completely cut off on the e-way! I tryed to start it back up and all it would to is idle really rough then cut off again. So I turned the key to the run position to see if i could hear the fuel pump running and I couldnt hear it. What do u guys think? :(

Stupid question, but your sure it has enough gas? [img]smile.gif[/img] . Mine ran out of juice on the highway, started back up once with an extremely rough idle then immediately cut off, and didn't start again. That was a bad day.. I found out how inaccurate our gas gauges are..

Makes you feel any better theere was a big problem in tampa, Shell had a tanker of bad gass over 100 gas stations gave out gas with high sulfer content, the high sulfer content corroded silver in fuel sending units, and caused my girlfriends to read WAAAAY off she ran out.

Shell had over 9,000 cases reported, and are paying to repair them [img]smile.gif[/img]

shell isnt paying for it yet there is a class action lawsuit against shell, texaco, and the refinery. to fix the fuel gage can cost $800 because the part is like $300

Well the gas was at about a half of a tank. But i was thinking that it might of been my alternator gone bad then ran off the battery until it died. I havent heard from my mechanic yet.

How long have you had the car? Prolly ran out of gas.
