Couple of problems...

Ok I have a 95 3.4 Camaro, and a couple of days ago I noticed that the speedo was going crazy. I would accelerate normal, and when I got up to about 40-45 mph the freakin speedo would start bouncing all the way up to 70-80 mph while I maintained the same speed. It did it a couple of times, then stopped. It hasn't done it anymore in the past couple of days, but it seemed similiar to what happens when your tranny starts slipping and the rpms rise but you aren't accelerating.

Next problem- I am getting a vibrating-rattling noise from somewhere near the cat(maybe the heat shields?) It only does it at idle in park and drive, but not while I'm moving. I'm not sure if these two problems might be related.

I'm hoping if anyone can help me with either of these two problems. I'm open to all suggestions. Thanks.

well not sure about the speedo thing but if i **GUESSED** i would say your right. and the rattling thing, just tighten things down and find out. [img]smile.gif[/img]

my speedo was doing that the other day too, when i floored it to pass.
