at 80mph my rpms are at like 2750 and i have 3.08 open end i dont think it should be that high at 80 or is that normal??? oh and its a 3.8L 5 speed 96

So the lower numerically your gear ratio is the higher your cruising RPMs will be? I put a 50 series tire on my bird and now my cruising RPMs are higher. A lower gear (higher numerically) increases the engine rpm at whatever speed.
