I just aquired an 97 Firebird with the series II 3800 engine and automatic transmission. The car hadn't been driven since early 2003 till I got it and my question is, the trip odometer reads and resets fine, but the regular odometer just reads "error". What am I up against and how would I correct it? I can't get it registered until I can determine the miles on the vehicle. Thanks!
