using Camaro 94 ECM manual transmission in camaro 94 automatic trans
What adjustments do I need to make in order to use a manual transmission computer in an automatic Camaro 94 V6?
I start the car and the engine misbehaves
with the original computer of the car it was behaving totally well so I discard a problem in engine and sensors
Maybe there is something I must move in the reprogramming of the computer?
the car had no problem I ruined the ecm using winflash
the ecm i got for its replacement was bad too, it managed to start the engine but it worked terribly and it sends me a fault code 93 PCS CIRCUIT (current error)
What I did was pass the flash chip to the ecm that it ruins, but it continues to say no to the ecm and surprisingly to the ecm that I removed the flash chip I can still do a scan and even winflash is able to recognize it
for obvious reasons now I can't write to it because now it doesn't have its flash memory, I'm thinking that maybe the processor was damaged or maybe an electrical component like a resistor or capacitor and that's why the connection was interrupted ruining the ecm
I discovered that my ecm has 2 flash chips and that I will probably change the good chip leaving the bad chip,
with an eeprom burner should I reprogram the bad chip but a question arises, should I program the 2 chips equally or just reprogram one and the other leave it unscheduled?
Unfortunately I don't know much about the 3.4L tuning. Have you tried reaching back out to the company who has the software to flash your ecm? Is it tuner cat?
I know for the 3.8L the only way to make a manual pcm work in an automatic car is to do a "write entire" and I believe you also have to write in the vin if I am not mistaken
