TheBeast is ENTIRELY correct. Apparently, the Temp Gauges (at least those on 98 or 99 up, I'd say all of them) are to some degree (all of them) or entirely (98 or 99 up) OFF. OFF BY A MILE. As in, displaying one temp for a range of 40*F or so ... I've got an aftermarket Autometer temp gauge, and it seems to follow the factory one well in my 97. GM officially (AFAIK) fixed them so they don't read correctly, so that there's not a moving needle there scaring people. I guess ...
Tach is also off ... Probably everything is off by at least 5%, and as for the temp and oil gauges, ha! And how about the V-shaped gas tank? We've got it made, guys ...
