    Working on getting my 99 Camaro back in action. Long story short, got parked in the garage about 5 years ago (kids, career stuff ect.) trying to get her back to life but kinda stumped now. Last year ordered headers and was going to start working on it, got everything out of the way minutes manifolds and stopped again fast forward to this week. Got the headers on, new o2s, cleaned throttle body, new maf, new fuel filter, drained and cleaned tank, fresh gas with half a can of seafoam, fires right up, idles right for about 30 seconds then start to chop like a big block with a hog *** cam, doesn’t like any throttle, I swear it’s a fuel issue but now not sure. Exhaust still smells like old gas. Any ideas? What am I missing here?

    Is it have any pending codes or thrown any, could be clogged CAT. Did you change the oil? How does it look?

      No codes, currently no cat, trying to get her running on open headers, haven’t finished up the rest of the exhaust yet. Oil isn’t to bad, definitely needs fresh oil here soon but didn’t raise any concerns for me currently.

          Forgot to update, instead of hooking up a fuel pressure gauge, I chased around every other problem I could think of. It was the fuel pump. Threw a brand new pump in her and she fired right off, let her idle for about 30 minutes, took it for a drive and she drove great. Going to sort the exhaust this week and try to get to the DMV to get it plated. It felt real good driving it. Which brings up my next question, any one make some EGR block off plates that aren’t 55 damn dollars? (Hawks) Did a google search but found nothing.

            Good to hear, for the egr block off plates don’t really know of any other place, mine has been on for about 23 years so they last. Maybe eBay , Hawks is pretty expensive. Or Amazon too. You probably could have an exhaust shop make some plates cheaper than $55.

              Well you do get 2 - UIM and exhaust manifold - so $25 each.

              Got mine years ago from BRP Racing Parts on eBay - but looks like they don't make them anymore.

              Parts are getting hard to find - and expensive.
