  • Throttle Position Sensor trouble shooting

I’m new. I actually don’t own a Camaro or firebird. I do have a 2000 Camaro 3.8 fly by throttle and 4l60e. This is installed in a 1980 Triumph TR7 British car. I constantly have problems with it losing power due to code 1221, and sometimes where I’ve been stalled on streets and interstates. What I have to do is carry a diagnostic computer and have it ready to erase the code’s immediately to keep driving. But, it’s been getting worse. I’ve replaced the throttle body and accelerator pedal with used ones with no change. I’m pretty sure it’s a wire that’s pinched. At some times I got a code that indicated lost power to the throttle body. Forgot the code. I’ve wiggled the connectors while the car was running good and when it was without power, with no change. I have a schematic that shows 8 wires going to the throttle body, and assuming it may be one of the 5 volt reference wires. Or maybe it’s a wire in the accelerator pedal, at the transmission. How can I test these wires not knowing if a wire is cracked or loose. When I bought the engine I did see a wire that had been pinched and uncertain where it went to, since I had someone install everything for me. Codes: 1120 throttle position sensor 1, 1220 for TPS 2, 1221 for TPS 1-2 correlation, 1518 PCM toTAC module serial data
