Ok, first off, I searched, got losts of posts, went through them, and I didn't find what I'm looking for.
The specific question is how much hp = .1 second (approx).
I have a huge list of potential performance mods. I don't want to spend a million dollars to make a v6 as fast as humanly possible. I do want to get the most bang for my buck, and stop when the dollars get too high for the gains.
So for me to rate the potential mods, one factor will be potential tenths of a second they will take off a quarter mile time.
For weight I am using 100lbs static = .1 second
and 10 lbs rotating = .1 second
But how many hp = .1 second (in our typical cars of course)???
So I could spend 200 on a 1LE driveshaft for a tenth. Or I could spend $??? on an exhaust for 5-10 hp which = ??? tenths? How many tenths am I willing to buy, and in which order. That's the general idea. Of course the hp estimates are subjective, but that goes with the territory...
Not looking for a list of mods, just the hp=tenths data so I can come up with my own list.
