2000 3.8 camaro, A4
Alright, just looking under the hood today just to check on things and I found two things that may or may not be a problem.
One thing is that ever since my battery died once several months ago, the load test light (on one of those AC Delco batteries) is never green. First of all, is this a problem? If so, should I get the battery replaced? The voltmeter in the car usually hovers between 13.5 and 14, so I don't think it's a problem. Either way, when unsure...
Second thing, way back when I was having misfire problems, the dealer replaced the spark plug wires and also the coil packs. Somehow I didn't notice that one of the rubber grommets that sits on the fuel line isn't on properly. The metal clip that connects the fuel line has been touching one of the spark plug wires and has now left a burn mark. I'm posting a link to a picture of it for better description (hi-res). Could this burn mark cause any problem with the wire? Looks to just be a little melted, didn't go through. The other day I was getting several misfires at WOT, but haven't had any more since that tank of gas. Could be the gas or this or the combination... Just doesn't seem to shift well up at WOT for some reason.
