ok saturday i went to have my AC looked at,b/c it wasn't blowing cool air. My guys says it need a new coil, the one i got has a leak in it. So i was like ok get a new one. So i help him get the dash of to get the old out, we call the local dealership...and they say that the part we took out isn't suppposed to be in my car! now, i bought my car brand new in 1995...so i tell them just to send the part that is supposed to be in the 195 3.8l. they send it, and there is now way that it will hook up! i call to see if it was in the wrong box, but another box had the same part! Not only that, but GM doesn't know what vehicle the old part goes to!

...has anyone with the 1995 3.8L changed their AC coil?

    Heeeeeelp guys!

Was the new part #6552423 or 6552422? Sure it was the coil? GM or aftermarket?

the part was GM, i am not sure on the exact part number...but it also had letters in it!..where as the part that is "supposed" to go in the car does not, it looks similar to your number. Could the part in my car come from a 3.4l camaro?

      thx guys!

I went the my mechanic to the GM dealer and we brought my part with me, and sure enough the guy at the service desk said" yeah that's the 3.4l ac coil!" ...then i said "oh....that explains it.....ONLY I HAVE A 3.8L! ..anyways i got the part and its fixed!

Sometimes the mechanics get a little confused on the '95's since two V6's were available. I've had the same problem with parts not being right.
