• I just changed my wires!

Around christmas time I had my wires replaced cause the #1 wire wasn't working. And just last night my SES light came on again and the same type of thing is happening to my car...... It sounds like the choke is on HARD during idle. It's a dog when I accelerate. The Battery gage varies. And the RPM's are higher than normal at crusing speeds.

What the F's the problem now?!

I would say firstly get it scanned and see what the code is.

Sounds like there is a miss somewhere, have you checked your plugs?

The battery gauge could be your alternator but may not be.

Autozone will scan the code and test your alternator for free so thats all good!

Yeah... I think it is my alternator too. I just wish I had an autozone around me.

You can test your alternator by removing the negative battery terminal while the car is running. If it dies the alternator is bad if it stays running the alternator is good.

Of course this may not be the safest thing in the world to do. Although, my Dad used to test his alternators like that and I have done it before on other cars and we are still alright

I found out what the problem was.... I needed to change the coil pack tower to the #2 and #5 cylinder.

If other people have this problem and need to change their coil packs of their ignition, go with MSD coil towers found at:

          http://www.ammperformance.com/V6Main.htm

At ammperformance they are about $10 cheaper than the OE pieces of crap.
