Mods need some help

Ok i have a 1999 firebird just about to drop a used 3.8 engine back in it my other one threew a rod well i have some money saved up and i was wondering what mods to do i know i want to go with the 3.42 gears there supposed to be the best for automatics ......... by the way is there any way u can tell if your car is a y87 when i bought mine there wasnt a delaship sticker with it so i dont know how to tell im going to get my heads ported and polsihed for like 100$ i got a friend that does that but that still leaves me with about 200 dollards what else can i get that i can install myself i also already have the complete magna flow system but i was thinking of saving up for the slp loud mouth well pelase give me some ideas or mods u knwo that work well thanks guys later

are you asking for engine mods before you put the new engine back in?
as long as the replacement engine is still out, it would be a great time to put a better cam in it.

no i want like bolt ons i knwo that if u get a shift kit u ahve to buy the programmer to get it tuned i was also thinking maybe the eibach lowering springs

intake, 160* thermostat, and some taylor spark plug wires............can't get any more bolt on than that.
