  • doors please help

on my camaro, sometimes my door(drivers side only) will get a little stuck, i have to pull real hard and then POP!! the door is loose, this will only happen if the door has been closed for a long time, such as overnight, it is putting small, barely noticable cracks in my body behind the wheel, what should i do to keep this from happening??? any help would be good...

I don't know about your problem but try grabbing under the end of your door while it's open and lifting up. I had to do this on my 86 every now and then to re-align the doors. They are so freakin huge and heavy that this helps. Someone might have a better idea but give this a try and see if it does anything.

try tightening down the hinges on the door. the heavy doors tend to start sagging. mine used to get caught on that peice right behind the front wheel when it got out of alignment.

I agree with them. Tighten the hinges/hangers/bolts and lubricate them. I had to do this a little while ago after the accident. Its fairly easy to do. I had a friend hold the door steady while I was doing it.
