• Seat moves on Hard Turns

My camaro is an 02 and when I turn hard I can feel the seat shift and click. Is there any way to stop this?

Actually, there's either a bolt loose or your tracks are misaligned. I'd start by looking for loose stuff.

Whoa. I thought I was going crazy. I gots the same thing. Will check for looseness tomorrow and let you know for sure. Could be a potential 2002 model flaw, or recall or something that comes out of Chevy's pocket.

Does being "Big Ed" have anything to do with the problem? Just kidding... That does sound like a potential recall problem.
I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

i went through arbitration with GM over my car. that was one complaint i had on the 'fix it or buy it back' option. the rep from GM said they could replace the seat brackets, but they all do that. he said they don't like to admit it, but it's a design flaw in the molding of the bracket. the brackets aren't sized exactly and it allows for play in the seat.

sorry, you're just going to have to deal with it.

Hehe, no Everglades, I'm actually only 160 lbs, the BigED is a actually a joke like naming a huge guy tiny.

So it ain't my fault the seat moves.

if it's an 02, you must still be under factory warranty, go complain to the dealership.

Holy Shnikeys! I KNEW I wasnt the only one with this problem! Well, You've probably guessed I have the same problem with my seats. I have a 2000, and in hard turns it just annoys the sh!t outta me! I took mine back to the dealer and they gave me the same line about the design flaw in the molding. The only cure I can think of is buy some racing seats :D

camarokidd, don't take that B.S. excuse. Argue with them that it's Bull$hit. When my window use to drop (due to the rubber coating sticking to it) they told me it was normal. I argued with the prick and told him "you're full of $hit!" Here's the rule of thumb. Be nice at first, but if you don't get your way (and you usually don't), be pushy with them...I know I am...I don't give a $hit what they think of me.

oh trust me dude, I didnt take it lightly either. I mean I wasnt harsh or rude at first, but that place knows me by name now because I've complained about MANY things. And I'll tell you this...Dealerships are all full of $hit. I have never gone to a dealership and gotten the service I desired, and time and time again I complaining about those goddamn seats to my dealership and they give me the same crack-addict answer. I've written to GM in the customer survey about them countless times and I just got tired of it. fack em, I'm gettin me a nice set of Corbeau racing seats one day :D

Yep, mines a 2000, and does the exact same thing. Im just wondering if you buy aftermarket seats dont you reuse the brackets, hence keeping the wonderful GM design?
