Not my car first off...
I raced my friend's 88 IROC-Z last night (http://www.camarov6.com/cgi-bin/ulti...c&f=7&t=001567) and after the race I went for a ride in his car and well the engine just doesn't sound the same anymore.
Here's the best way to describe it. Before it sounded nice and V8-ish and when you hit around 4,000rpms to redline (5000) it sounds like a big gust of wind (hard to explain).
Now it sounds like a really deep "whir" (like a lion purr) all the way up. It sounds real bada$$ but it's weird.
Now it alternates between the two sounds depending on what mood the car is in. What's going on here?
