  • power steering problem?

    its very cold out about 15*F and when i first start up my car after it sitting a while it seems like there isnt any power steering but then when i turn the wheel more it seems to work what could be the problem

    no seriously, it might just be the system being really cold

        It's probably just the system being stiff from the extreme cold. The fluid probably gets thicker too. However, in my last car (87 Cavalier), there was a problem where turning left (i think it was) had no power steering until it warmed up. It was referred to as morning sickness. The dealer had to replace seals in the rack or something like that. But mine did it regardless of outside temp.
