Here's the story. My fuel pump started whining a month ago, and sure enough 5 days later it died leaving me stuck. I had it replaced for 6 bills, and supposedly the new part has a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty. Well, now the new one is humming sorta like the old one did before it died. What should I do? Take it back and complain to the shop?

I'm going to...I called them already and they said they want to take a listen. This is the 3rd pump! First had a bad sending unit at 30K (dealer replaced under warranty) and the second went bad at 59K with a total failure. Something is chewing these up. I changed the fuel filter and don't run the tank low. Any ideas?1999 Y87 Camaro
Whisper Lid, SLP SS Takeoff Exhaust

Took it back...the guy agreed it's humming a little, but he said his truck's replacement does that too. He put in an AC Delco, not an aftermarket, so it should be all right. I was told to let it go for a while and bring it back if it sputters, is hard to start, or the noise gets worse.1999 Y87 Camaro
Whisper Lid, SLP SS Takeoff Exhaust
