      yeah, that d*amned ford. it burned a quart every 3000 miles. if you missed an oil change it let you know via the 'check oil' light. pretty clever of those ford engineers eh?

        FALSE. If the engin has not been sitting for a while there is still oil like along the walls and junk... you want the engine to sit for a while after it has ran to get a true accurate reading. But It can still be hot in way but if you turn the car off then go directly and measure it, you will get a false reading....
