hey,i was wondering how bad fresh water is to cars, i searched and all i got was that they have electical problems? but what if i replace most of the wireing or something. im haveing trouble finding a car that i can afford and repair. some of you guys are saying high miledge and then just rebuild it but what about the stuff that goes wrong caused by high miles? i have no idea what kind of car i shuld start looking for. any help will be appreciated.

The stuff you're looking is probably gunna take alot of work. i.e. the wreched cars and such. If you really have your heart set on getting the newest (wreched) car you can find, then I suggest finding the cheapest w/ the least mechanical damage. The easiest way to go would be to get an older car and fix that up. You can get a good 80s bird or camaro cheap, and fix that up well. So... whatever you do, just keep looking for something in your price range, and w/ damage that you can take car of and you'll be set. Hope this helps.

dont get me wrong "loser", i understand that you want a nice car and fix it up and all but think about it. first, you buy a wrecked 98', in two years, that car will be 8 years old and outdated. second, you like fbodies now but you have no idea if you'll love fords for life and want a mustang. im just trying to save you valuable money and time cause rewiring a newer car makes me go :eek:
<-----wishes he had taken his parents advice and bought a new 03 3.8 mustang at the time. My parents said they'd co-sign for me on a new 03 Mustang, I wanted a strip down M5 V6, with just the spoiler.
If I had the knowledge I do now, I would have went M5 3.8 Stang over my 99 Camaro anyday. But that's just me. Oh well, I like my 99 so its good and I only have to pay on it another year.

hey guys. thanks for the adivce maybe i'll wait a year or two. its just, i have money now and if i dont get something soon im afriad ill just use it little by little and when i turn 16 ill be broke.

EDIT: yea blldog now that i stop and think about it, your absolutly right i have no idea what i'll like when i turn 16. but who knows, i could be tonight for all we know.so its confusing,and big deal if its 8 years old , its my first car who cares right? i dont know im just a kid and have no clue what im talking about.sorry if i offened anyone. im new and really like the site and dont wonna make enemys. thanks everyone for your help

Hey, I'm 16 and i understand how you feel, but i saved my money for two years and now i got a 1997 Pontiac Firebird in perfect shape and i love it. Its definitely worth it to be patient.
