I got that "test" kit put on finally, and I can tell a difference in throttle response and A little sotp feel.
My gas mileage before was: 21.8 (city), and I got on it maybe once or twice. I'm still waiting for this tank to run out to see if my mileage has changed for the better. Also it says you cannot use this with aftermarket computer chips b/c it says the chips advance timing and says that this kit advances timing by slowing burn time. I'll update later and post my new mileage. The kit came with 8mm red wiretec wires, and bosch super plugs. I'm running with my accel coil packs too.

That would suck for us nitrous users
Well, lets see how it goes in the long run

Adding a capacitor inline with another capacitor (the plug) will not advance timing. It will instead shorten the electric spark duration and increase it's effective power over that shorter duration. This may cause premature plug burnout since the power across the plug gap will now be determined not by the plug gap but by the capacitor sitting atop it. Furthermore, there will be a slight ignition timing DELAY using this system. This timing decrease will probably lead to a fuel economy increase... If you don't believe me go retard your timing for a tank of fuel by 2degrees or more using a MAFT+ and see if you don't notice an increase in fuel economy! This does not mean you'll have more power.

how was the install? do you have the stock manifolds? did you have any clearance issues?

I was worried about those capaciators fitting ... so how did that part go?

That's your review? I really hope you give us more than that. Do you like it? Is it worth it?

I believe it was worth the 100.00 I paid for it. I personally feel I got more woomph from my diy cai. then again it seems like any time you upgrade your ignition all your really getting is better throttle response. I would compare the feel to after I installed my accell coil packs it made about the same diff and feel. If that helps. Install was fine. the capacitors are about 2-3 inches in length so now you can see them jutting out from my manifolds(just the end of the boot)

Now I will just quote the install advisory just so you have a little more info.
              Direct Hits Installation advisory

The directhits peaking capacitors are designed to be used with NON-resestor spark plugs. using typical resistor plugs will negate the effect of the capacitors and result in no increase in combustion efficiency or enging performance. always set the spark gap at the factory recommended specification but in no event ever exceed .045. (gapped mine at .045)

The use of braided copper or carbon core high voltage leads is not recommended. A certain amount of resistance in the lead is recommende to both suppress RFI and tune the impedence of the circuit allowing the capacitor to charge to a higher level. The carbon core leads will not take the current load required by the capacitor. It is recommended the use of spiral core or "Magwire" cable with resistance values of between 500-800 ohms/ft.

In any vehicle with ecu/ecm management of fuel and timing. it is mandatory to reset the comp. prior to operating the vehicle with the DHITS installed. The new combustion process will result in lower HC and o2 levels resetting the computer allows it to adjust to the new process.

Do not install DHITS in any vehicle which has been fitted with an aftermarket chip. THese chips advance timing beyond OE specs. DHITS uses the oe timing to advance timing chemically by reducing overall burn time.

The proper torque specs to install the DHITS on the non resistor plugs is 14 ft/lbs Do not overtorque the capacitor as it will damage both the capacitor and plug when the engine heats up resulting in severe misfire and OBD2 error codes.

THe sparkplugs provided in the DHITs ignition upgrade are one to two heat ranges cooler than is normally used. This is possible b/c heat in the plug is not required to boil off unburned fuel. Using the capacitors consumes the fuel which previously collected on the plug.

(Direct quote from the installation advisory)

In short I'm sorry I cannot tell you to all run out and buy one I can only say that from my experience with it for two days I believe It was worth the 100 bucks I paid for it. Now come time to calculate my gas mileage with it on, if it increases some astronomical number then I would. There was no install problems though. They give you one capacitor that is shorter than all the rest for the drivers side rear, and it only has 85% of the capacitative charge of the others and says it will not harm the vehicle or make any substantial diff.

It should be a good one. I have the 3.42s, but you have the cai and better ignition. Sent you an email about the wires if you didn't sell them.
