my car has started to make a wiered noise and it seems to be getting worse and before I take it to the mechanic I wanted to see if anyone knew what it might be. ok it is like a whistling sound and I cant pinpoint where it is coming from. It is not like a vacuum leak whistle it is a screeching whisle but not really loud. i checked the belt and pullies and it is not that. also nothing I do seems to make it better or worse. it doesnt speed up with engine RPM or it doesnt do it around a corner. it just sort of does it when ever so I dont know what It might be. anyone have this before? thanks.

Is it coming from your speakers?? Take out your radio fuse--see if the sound is still there... If it does, than it's probably your alternator going out.. Mine's actually doing that right now.. Annoying as hell, right??--chris-- -
