I wouldnt bash the Japanese, a lot of the parts in our cars are from Japan. I have always used AC Delco plugs for the longest time, but switched to NGK Iridiums with my Camaro. They seem to work pretty well, I noticed a slight MPG improvement. By the way, Volkswagen doesnt even use Bosch spark plugs anymore, they use NGK, and Bosch is a German company. The Bosch plugs that VW did use were the non-platinum versions. There is a reason they switched!

No one is bashing the US...we are just saying that you shouldn't bash Japan. You shouldn't judge peoples opinions on spark plugs either. There is no right or wrong answer here.

Good point. My 03 C5 came with AC doubble platinum made in Japan ,by Ngk, but a lot of C5 owners on that forum complained of the plat. tips comming off in the engine.Hope the irridiums don't do the same.Hope I did'nt hurt any sensitive feelings about those plug fans of NGK, but thats what many there reported at the Corvette forum.
