Agreed. A simple "I use X-brand plugs and they work fine" instead of interjecting "Jap iridium hype" into the reply, would be more than sufficient. Then someone else feels the need to defend their opinion.... Which reminds me- The Labor Unions are the main cause of the influx and migration of foriegn cheap labor. Dont believe me? Why would an assembly line worker need to make 55,000 a year with full benefits and five weeks of vacation time a year, when a teacher barely makes enough to survive, and being a teacher requires an expensive education and certifications, and perhaps has one of the most important jobs in the world? The manufacturing companies dont want to pay their lowest level employees that- so they move their operations somewhere where they dont have to.

I could go on but I'm not going to. If my post is deleted fine- but if everyone else is voicing their opinions then so am I.

Besides, there is no such thing as a true "American" car anymore. Next time you go to install something, take a look around and see all the little stickers that say "made in Canada" or "assembled in Canada".

Hey Lord, now we'll probably have some of these guys driving around blasting the "blame Canada" song from the South Park movie

As for the couple guys asking 2k questiosn...

I ran MSD 8.5 mm straight boot wires. I also put some heat sleeving, since lots of people have had problems with heat around their wires.

example is this sticky on another board http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...threadid=78028

I woudl go with stright boots, but then again I wanted heat sleeving on all my wires. But I can easily see 90* boots working no problem.

I've seen basically 2 dif. types A long fiberglass type that cover the boot & good part of the wire.Saw 'em @ NAPA,quite pricey ,about 18 bucks for 2.Some posted in a thread that you have to really bend the end so they will fit over a larger than sock MSD boot. Then I saw some heat resistant silver ones, more reasonable @ about 4 / 15&.They'll cover the boot & about 4" of the wire, but did'nt buy'em because it looked like they won't fit over an MSD.On my '98 just used the metal stock boot covers & bent them out a little to accomodate the larger boots of the MSD's.Checked them today after 1 mo. & they are fine with that set up.You should be OK like that, but make sure to use all the stock plastic wire covers that are on now. They'll fit the larger wires, mine did.Your choice, if you think you need extra heat insulators, with me so far so good so I'll leave 'em with the stock stuff on.

hey lord...agree that teachers are underpaid..do em a favor and pay more taxes then...2nd point..i am a union autoworker..i make over 65,000 a year. i also have to work 6 day weeks 10hrs a day to earn it on 2nd shift..and did you know that only 3% of the price it takes to build a vehicle is for labor costs? the "scabby" co. are the one's lining their pockets..if it wasn't for a union i'd be making $35 bucks a week like they do in Mexico...with no benefits for my family.

Actually your wrong...I understand what your saying, you just come off as an ignorant *******. You like to bash other countries for no reason. You assume that because we beat them in a war about 60 years ago that they make complete crap. Check all the electronics in your house, guess you wouldn't be able to do **** without all the "Jap hype" stuff huh. I support the American industry and refuse to buy an import. This doesn't mean that I hate other countries and won't buy anything from them because I think its bad stuff. Please read all the posts carefully...no one is saying you are wrong, just that you are very one sided. Read your first post again and try to say that doesn't come off as being from an *******.

This is my last post on this topic...your somewhat of a newbie and shouldn't make derogatory comments about other members who are respected for their knowledge and opinion.

Enlighten them Copperhead! I worked in a Steelmill, & often in a week had no choice but to work a 16hr. shift in one day,& sometimes 3-4 like that in a row.We were sometimes schedualed like that & at times worked 20 days straight without a day off, not by choice!Yeah a real picknick esp. in summer ,when it was 95*f outside it was 120* f in the mill.Your facts are correct, did you know the ave. price for cost of steel in each car-800$.Some of our company execs. got 300K$ bonuses in add. to salary, did these anti- union "geniouses" know that.

Did they also know that the F-Bodys were built by UAW workers. If they are so anti-union why the hell did they? Also the F's are comprized of an overwhelming number of American & Canadian parts.Do they complain when some board of directors make 2mil.$ showing up to 3-4 meatings a year,& a may get that from several other companies they "board"?Or when big wigs in some companies make 10's of millions a year,& 10's of millions in bonuses? UAW cars for me,I am member of your soon to be merged union,USWA.
