Keyless entry noise

Hi:

I have a 99 camaro and I have the keyless entry on it which is great and all but one thing that is really annoying is when you lock the door you get the two quick horns. Or sometimes I accidentally hit that red button on the fob that makes the horn go off and its the worst when you come home late and you accidentally hit that at like 2 am and all the neighbors lights go on. So I'm wondering is there a way to disable the horn when you lock the car from going off as well as that annoying red emergency button on the fob.

nothing you can do about that red panic button that i know of

if you look in your manual for the car, for alram, it will tell you how to program it to your liking. you can set it so only the lights flash....

Ok great thanks I will look in the book tonight. The thing is I live in an apartment too so when u lock the car at midnight or 1 am that annoying horn beeps and I can see it disturbs people. I would not want someone living below me to have a car like that with a random horn going off at late hours of the night.

If I don't want mine to beep, I just hit the power lock button as I'm exiting the car. When the door shuts, it arms it'self silently.
And for the red panic button; I took the remote apart and cut off the black contact for the panic button with a razor. Worked great!
