I'm changing my fuel pump and wonder if it was worth the hassel of putting the bucket back on? Does the pump made a noticable amount of noise without the bucket? Thanks for the help

YES put the bucket back on. Yes, however on many applications, you might need to cut the bottom of the bucket out to let the strainer have access to more fuel. I cut the bottom out of mine, and it works great!<a href=\"http://www.fullthrottlev6.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.fullthrottlev6.com</a> THE SOURCE!Comment

I left mine out, and the noise was about the same as the stock one.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake

If you just cut the bucket, it will make it a bit ore quiet. Also, I think it makes the reinstall easier to have everything snapping into place like OEM.<a href=\"http://www.fullthrottlev6.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.fullthrottlev6.com</a> THE SOURCE!Comment

MY Walbro is just strapped right to the mounting arm with no bucket at all and I have never had 1 problem.Comment

I think i'm going to go with strapping the pump to the arm. Use some hose clamps and clamp the pump to the bracket. Screw the case for it, too much work.
MAKE SURE YOU USE A NEW SOCK FOR THE BOTTOM OF THE PUMP.1997 Chevrolet Camaro v6 - 13.8@104MPH
