i was driving home last night and my power steering went out. i popped the hood to find:

    -power steering fluid low
    -radiator cap loose
    -battery lid gone

i just took it to the local dealership not 3 weeks ago and also had new belts installed 5 weeks ago. how could the dealership miis this kind of crap, even if they are just trying to take my money? and how did the belt wear so fast?   i cant wait until i get a job! new car!! its usually not the mechanic but the shops way of doing things. coming into the business, most mechanics are ususally honest but the businesses force them to cut corners

nevermind, i found the problem. god i am such a newbie!

          MY SERPENTINE BELT FELL OFF!!!

haha i guess i never noticed because i never popped the hood to look.

it fell off because the bearings on the idler are shot, and it wouldn't roll. $23.50 at kragen. should be running again in 2 hours.
