    I priced out gears at a local shop here and he told me im looking at 1100 bucks so i guess ill have to wait for gears. But will a Jet Chip Stage 2 give me a little more launch??

      1100 for gears?!? keep looking dude, find a small mom and pop shop that does good work... stay away from performance shops.. they tend to overcharge...

        Yeah, labor on gears should be from 200 to 300 bucks. Nope, jet chip doesn't help your launch, but you can feel it at moderate to heavy throttle. Quicker, firmer shifting. Top end is dang good and very noticeable with the chip, and that's where we're lacking. Make sure that you have the supporting mods or don't do it. It's a mod that you may not feel all of the time, especially when weather is real hot. Your engine will run hotter with the chip. Makes up some difference on the high end when racing LT1s.

        I like it, it helps, but don't expect a miracle. It's a bolt-on.
