This is a graphic that I made about a year ago that shows the wiring setup on my 3.4L V6. It obviously works because my car is running fine with it. I know it is a bit primative, but if you have any questions, please let me know. I am in the process of making on that will look a little better and probably be a little easier to read.

Edit: Image is now updated with the "easier" setup.

however i do got a question why does your coil+ wires go to solid red......and the black/reds(or in my case brown/orange) goto the 12v source shouldnt it be the other way around

You can't really pay too much attention to the colors in my diagram because I was only using them for distinction between wires. Pay more attention to the pins that each wire goes to.

Man that is cool you have it working!
Change those plugs out and hopefully it will run like a champ :D
Wait until you feel the difference the ignition makes... I didn't even buy wires/coils and I felt a big difference. My car used to lay over pretty bad in 2nd gear, it would barely accelerate from like 35-50mph but after I put that ignition in it pulled through the gears nicely
Let me know how you like it!

Yeah, you'll definitely like the ignition...and it will certainly help with the NX Wet Kit.

Better change that diagram!
It says "WARNING USE AT OWN RISK WILL NOW BE RESPONSIBLE FOR INJURY OR DAMAGE" LOL!
Good job on the diagram though! :D
Now when somebody else buys the MSD they might be able to do a seach and see how to do it right ;)

I love my gears :D
They would be even better with a little more horsepower, but there's only so much I can do about that
I think on the DIS-4 you can retard the timing for boost, I don't know if you retard the timing for NOS or not... something to play around with though Hopefully viper can help you out on that one.

I bought the Motive Performance Gears because Motive gears are made by GM, I also got the Ratech install kit to go with it.
They don't make a single bit of noise either...
I didn't get posi, but I should have :( I didn't want to spend another $100 on it at the time LOL
If you have the money I'd recommend getting it with the gears though.

ya i hear ya i wanted GM gears and go figure why i was havin a hard time finding them was becuase i didnt know they were called Motive Performance Gears....I was lookin in to a posi-differential but my friend claims i dont really need it on quote "waste of money dont need it for my car", i want both tires to roast tho win i spin em not one stop and go and the other burn,,,,well with street tires i can go side ways shiftin from a dry punch but with my drag radials good luck i can spin and i can squak em but its still the infamous one wheeler pealer........have you ran your car at the track with your gears yet to see the gain? and can you feel quite a bit of difference ive wanted gears for so long but i spent so much money on my firebird this summer and bought my jeep and spent quite a few bills on it so thats what im gettin around april is the gears

I have never been to the track :(
I wish I had some baseline times and some times after I've done this modifying...

I would get the LSD if I were you, I wish I had it. ESPECIALLY if you are going to run a 100 shot!!! My 3.4 is nothing special and it is pretty hard to launch the car with the open diff. I can't really give it much gas on the launch or the right rear spins like crazy.

I noticed a nice difference with the gears though, car pulls hard off the line and doesn't stop til I want it to :D I'd recommend them for sure.
