If it is coming from the back your gears could be winning. Then again it could be anything. Can you elaborate a litle bit more? Does it only make noise, any vibrations?Red 1999 Firebird M5
Whisper Lid,Borla Catback,K&N,Dual Friction Center Force Clutch,Hurst Shifter w/Lou\'s Short Stick,!FRA,Suncoast Ramair hood,160 Thermo,!maf,Chrome ZO6 Wheels, Painted Calipers, CIA Headers, Taylor Wires, NGK Spark Plugs, 3\" Catco, Jet Chip Stage II, BMR STB, LCA, PHR, SFC, Fan Switch, FTRA
Old Dyno Numbers: 183 RWHP, 217 RWTRQ
http://community.webshots.com/user/redsixer

Not much to go on, could be your front wheel bearings.
I'll share this with you -- recently my '88 Fiero was making a terrible squealing sound. Sounded like metal rubbing on metal. I thought it was something heavy duty like bearings, half shaft etc, even had the car towed home 75 miles. It turned out to be a small rock caught between the brake rotor and the rotor shield. Simply pulled the shield away from the rotor, rock fell out, squeal went away.
Hope it is something simple.2001 Camaro M5 Coupe(1 of 2,737), no options, Whisper Lid, K&N Air Filter, Free Ram Air, MAFS Screen removed, SLP Manual Fan Switch, 160 thermo, DEE\'s T/B Spacer, EGR Block-off plate, IAT resistor, CAI to EGR air feed, B&M Ripper Shifter, SLP Replacement Grill, T/A Exhaust, SLP five spoke take-off wheels, BMR strut-tower brace, BMR Tunnel Brace, BMR 32/21 front & rear sway bars with poly, BMR Poly/Combo Rear Control Arms, Clear front & rear corners, HPP3 modified 87 Octane program.
http://www.cardomain.com/id/red2k1
