  • How to remove Alt on a 3.4

My battery gauge is in the red, even when i drive its in the red, i can make it go up a but if i dribe at high RPM's and it goes down even more if i turn on my lights or A/C.

I also noticed a hummmmmmmmm, coming from the engine.

My guess is that my alt is shot. I can change it my self, how do i get the belt off?
My car has GPS trackin\',traffic alert, its own phone #,PS2,screens. And What da H3ll,When I Turn da key it says \"You\'ve got mail\"..... <br />I swear and promise.. I\'ve had more cars then Charlie Thomas.. bounces in a Monte\' that hopped.. Pimped old skoo Blazer on Chopz, Today Its a Camaro at all da plya spots.

socket with breakover bar on the tensioner pulley and turn like you are going to tighten it will get the belt off.

Hey check the belt first. Might just save you a little $, but with all that bass, you prolly need a new alt.

It wont hurt to get the alt checked either...take it to most any auto parts place and they can bench test it.

since you're a 'CamaroWithBass' i'd suggest a HO Alt...alot more usefull than a ghey capacitor

Yes, that would be a good idea, and remember to protect everything that you wired in with inline fuses if it doesn't already have them.
