  • is this possible?...

    i want to swap my 3.8 with the GTP L67.

    but i want it facing the right way, and put the 5 spd on it... hood clearence isnt an issue for me, i just want to kno if this will work, and what has to be done for it to work.

    no, you can rebuild yours to L67 stats like stefan though

    and just curious, how is hood clearance not an issue? planning on running without one?

      no..my uncles shop is right by a costom body builder...he said he can make me one for cheap...like..a nice 4 inch cowl

        Yes it will fit. It requires upgraded fuel BS and a different intake part on the supercharger but it will work.

          Except you run into that whole, computer not working from a GTP on a Camaro. Or at least, thats what I've heard :D

          And also, even with a 4"cowl, I think your main concern is fitting the supercharger with the limited clearance where the engine sits so far back.

            or you could take all the money your spending on building a hood and getting the engine and everything and buy and LS1, and youll go faster then any gtp... just my .02

              Actually I think the computer will work from a Camaro or will with a little programming. The hood isn't needed. All you need is a special throttle body which they do make.
