• Power window problem fixed!

Here is some help to anyone that might have this issue. the vertical guide for my drivers side window had a problem. the metal head on the roller worked out of the hole in the metal plate riveted to the window. the whole was too big now to put it back in.

    easy fix.

I drilled into the metal head on the roller with a small size bit. Then I tapped a 6-32 into the metal head thingy. Went to the hardware store, bought a 6-32 1/2 inch bolt and a washer, put the metal head thingy of the roller back into the hole, used the bolt and washer to secure it from comming back out. You dont have to use the 6-32 size, you could do a little bigger if you would like.

Works great! just thought I'd share this with anyone that had this problem. Window/door shops charge like 75 bucks and more to do a 10 minute 99 cent job.

Please, I have the exact same problem, would love to see the pics. Can you tell me if the vertical track has a slight arc to it. Mine does and I am not sure if is designed that way, or if it is what caused the problem in the first place. Thanks!!

I believe it does have a slight arc. Have you takin your panels off? You can tell the problem imdediately, the roller will not not connected to the metal plate on the window. I think its due to people hanging on the windows or closing the doors using the window
