  • Wiper Blade Length

Does anyone know the size of the wiper blades for a 96 Camaro? No one in this friggen city seems to know the right length. I've had this problem everytime I replace wiper blades. So if someone can look in their manual and tell me what size I need to get? Thanks.

Drive to Wal-Mart, go to the auto section, go to the wiper blades, punch car info into little blue computer mounted on wiper blade rack. Buy the Anco Quick Connects (yellow package under $5 ea.)Later.

Tried that, they are the wrong size. It doesn't wipe half my passengers side.

Mine calls for a 24" blade, but I use 22" on the passenger side.

No, but I have heard of a tape measure ;)

I think I have 24 on there now, but when it's on high speed, the top of the blade on the driver sided flings off the side and slaps the window, but it only does it on high. The passenger side doesn't wipe a huge section, it just passes over it.

It's probably not the length of the wiper, but rather that a wiper park adjustment is needed. If the wiper arm assembly does not park at the bottom most position in its downward sweep then it needs to be adjusted.

Checked that already. It can't go down any further. The blades I had on before covered the whole window fine, its just slapped the side, like its doing now.

I had the same problem on my 97 firebire.Went to Canadain Tire and pick up new set of 24" wipers.Put them on , and it only cleaned not even half the window.Tried a diffrent brand ,same thing.
So after a week of not beening able to see when it rains,I went to the dealer and got the factory blades and sized the two up.The factory ones are diffrent wher thay mount on the arm.The aftermarket ones were hitting the arm and lifting off the window.
Put the factory ones on and never had a problem since.

Yup, I went to Canadian Tire, they said the blades don't sit right, go to a dealership and order new ones.

I have that exact same problem too. My passenger side misses about 1/3 of the windshield. The blade just passes over it. It seems like the wiper arm doesn't have enough pressure pushing down on it when it moves all the way up. Atleast it's the passenger and not the drivers side
