What does actually a tune up include ?

I know it`s changing the spark plugs but what else ?

I have a "pinning noise" when accelerating ?

GM mechainc told me it can be spark plugs or belt, and I should do a tune up.

Some people say that Camaros don`t have a belt it`s a chain and doesn`t need to be adjusted but I heard some people saying it must be done.

A good tune up usually involves changing the spark plugs, spark plug wires, fuel filter, air filter, adding a bottle of fuel injector cleaner to your gas tank, oil and filter change, and possibly cleaning out the throttle body with something like Seafoam. (to see what seafoam is, do a search. It has been discussed quite often)
When I give my car a tune up like that, I usually fill the gas tank up with 93 octane.
