  • Which one? Z-28 axle or Exhaust?

I'm debating which i should get: a Z-28 rear axle (LSD and 3.42s) or a cat-back exhaust. I know that the exhaust frees up horsepower, but the 3.42s will help get the available power to the wheels better. which should i go for?

    rear end swap.

Then spend $20 for a cut out and have a shop put it in untill you can afford full cat back exhaust.

Rear end definately. In the long run you will thank yourself for getting the rear end. And you get disk brakes.
There is fast, too fast, and way too fast. Way too fast is almost fast enough.

Go with the rear, the first time you go to the track you will understand why.

why would an auto Z-28 come with 2.73s, when the auto v6's come with 3.08s? that doesn't make sense.

You can check the RPO codes on the cars you see so that you can check the gears.

2.73s are lower-performance than the 3.42s...torque has nothing to do with it.
