  • Power Window Warning

Car just hit 113k miles on it. Car is 10 years old. Well i notice my window not wanting to go up. It was getting stuck up towards the front. Then i noticed it sliding back and forth when id speed up/brake. Door panel came off and the slide holding the window making it go up at the right distance was broke at the bottom. Its solid metal but the window thing snapped through it. What made the metal snap was the grease they put on the slide rail was so old and hardened so much the roller didnt want to move on it so snap it went. I highly suggest if you have power windows to check your grease on door panels cause now we have to take car back to dealer or somewhere with a rivet gun to fix it. Also the window does not come out without a rivet gun. Its gonna be a ***** to fix.

You do not have to use rivets, drill them out and replace with bolt and nut.
