  • Pulled trouble code at Autozone -- P0113

P0113- "Intake Air Temp Circuit High Input" this is what flashed when the diagnostic machine was plugged up. I assume this is the small sensor/wire that is attached to the intake. Well we took a look and it has been spliced! I don't know whether it was a small animal or sabotage. The car had been in storage since October. Anyway does anyone know where I can get one of those connectors? Is this even the problem?

just reconnect the wires and get the code cleared.

BTW, its called the IAT sensor (Intake Air Temperature)

I wish I could just reconnect the sensor but the wire that runs to it has been spliced. So I need a new connector. Where can I get this from? Also, how do I get the code cleared? Do I have to go the dealer for this?

        what do you mean spliced?

"Splicing" a wire is when you shave the rubber off of two wires and connect them. "Splicing" is what you need to do.

Youre going to have to be more descriptive if you expect us to know what youre talking about ;)

How more descriptive can I get? The wire is completely seperated from the connector. It may have been cut or chewed through. The wire left on the connector end is too short to sucessfully connect to the other end. Therefore I need a new connector. I need to know where I can get this connector and do I have to go the dealer to have the code cleared.

By "spliced" I meant cut or seperated but not reconnected.

Did you not read his post? It is too short to reconnect. You could always solder in the resistor and it'll be fine...don't rememebr the value of resistor you'll need, but it tricks your computer into thinking it's always cooler outside, and therefore advances your timing a bit...not a bad next to free mod for an NA car. and you'll save $19.95! Do a search and you'll find what resistor you need to do this.

Sorry I read this late but you could have gottn it at just about any auto parts store(ie Pep Boys) for about 7 bucks. Its in the electrical wire section w/ the weather packs.
