  • Blinker Switch Help

I was told that I need to change my blinker fluid.... okay, just kidding.. anyway, I noticed that sometimes my left brake light doesn't work, I figured out it's because the blinker switch isn't returning all the way to the center postion. is there a way to adjust a spring tention, or do i just need to replace the whole switch assembly? thanx for any help.

    Justin.

You're not going to like it. You have to take off your steering wheel to get to your signal switch. Once you get the wheel off, you'll see it. I'd replace the bulb before you do anything.

yeah, i already replaced the bulb.. :( I know it's the switch, because i can just barely push down on the arm, and the brake light goes of (assuming i have my foot on the brake) if i push it back up the brake light comes back on. it doesn't move very far, just a little bit, and both blinkers still function properly.

Ouch, sorry to hear that. The good news is that the switch is super-easy to install. The bad news is that steering wheel. The Chilton's Manual should have step by step instructions on how to take that off.

You could just rubber band it to the gauge cluster area somehow! :D

          Talk about ghetto!
