Well an LS1 or LT1 swap is going to cost you around 10k. Engine, tranny, computer, rear end, and labor. For 5k, I would do forged internals then buy an upgraded nitrous kit. But if you want to spend a little more go with a supercharger.2003 Nissan 350Z Touring Coupe, Daytona Blue, Frost leather interior, navigation, 18 inch wheels, M6, fully loaded, intake, crank pulley.

Previous cars:
1991 Mustang (347)
2002 RS Camaro
1985 IROC-Z (305)
1994 Camaro convertible V6

10k?!?!?! No way, LT1 + everything needed could be had for around 3k (and that's a bit extreme but I'm taking account shipping & other miscellaneous things) and if you don't know what your doing labor wouldn't more than 2k at most. LS1 would be a bit more, but not a lot.1998 A4 Pontiac Firebird

FYI, My ls1 swap with mods totalling about $5800 went 11.3@117 .... still with stock heads/cam... and a 3.42 gear in a 10 bolt.
If you HAVE enough money.. just do an LS1 swap..Keith - Chicago
HP Tuners - PCM Reprogramming
97 Firebird V6 to LS1 swap
V8 9.967@132.78 1.322 60\' NA Heads/Cam
V8 10.295@128.48 1.363 60\' NA Cam Only
V8 10.987@119.31 1.422 60\' NA Stock Internals
V6 13.674@98.22 NA
V6 12.394@104.91 N20 100HP
