Last week my Wife's car started acting up.
The SES light came on and started flashing then went solid.
The car was misfiring bad.
Autotap showed misfires on cyl 4 so I changed the 1/4 coil and the # 4 wire. When cold the motor was smooth and drove fine, but when the engine reached operating temp the stumble would start again.
I was about to swap the ICM, and I noticed the #2 terminal on the 5/2 coil was covered in rust.
I swapped the coil and the #2 wire and plug, started the car and was smooth and the SES light turned off, once the engine was up to temp it started to run rough again and the SES light has not come back on.
What else could it be?
If the cat was clogged it would act up as soon as the car was started, if it was electrical it would act up at start up as well.
I'm very
The car only has 37,000 miles.
Oh yeah I did a search and found no solution to my problem.
Thanks.
