Is it easy to install? I'm not good with electronics and wiring. I could get the RKsport fan switch, but someone said I could do it for 12 bucks. Which was is better, does it set off the SES light?

Check out the last page of my cardomain site (in sig), it's the $12 switch I did. I don't know a darn thing about wiring and I did it, so I know you can. And it thew an ses light once, but I turned the car off then back on and it went away, probably a fluke. Been on a month and hasn't thrown one since.

I installed mine for about 12 bucks following the instructions in whiteshark's page. It does throw an SES light after used for a while, but it goes away eventually and doesn't harm performance at all.

its easy, takes no time at all to do, but it will set the ses light if you use the fans when the computer doesn't think they should be on, if you turn the fans off, the ses light will go away,

18 gauge seems like it would be too small. Is that what the other wires in the car are, or at least what i have to tap?

I don't know much about wires and gauges but to me it didn't look like the ones you're tapping into are any bigger than 18, maybe even smaller.

You'll be tapping into the fan relays so 18 gauge will be fine. ;)
